The Addax

As desert antelopes, they are perfectly suited to the most inhospitable environment for a herbivore. They can survive significant extremes in day-time and night-time temperatures. They can weigh up to 130kg. Both males and females have ringed, spiralled horns. A single calf is born following a gestation period of 8 and a half months.
