How long does it take to visit Planète Sauvage?

You should allow around 6 hours to visit Planète Sauvage. The Safari Trail lasts 2 hours, the Dolphin Show 30 minutes, the Bush Village 1 hour and a half and the Jungle Bridge 1 hour. You should also allow some time for lunch.

What are the park's opening times and dates?
Is the park accessible to disabled visitors?

Yes, the park is accessible to people with disabilities (physical and mental). The whole park (the Safari Trail, the Bush Village, the Reptile Ark and the Marine City) is accessible to people in wheelchairs apart from the 4x4 Off-road Adventure and the Jungle Bridge (6-metre high rope bridge in the trees).

Dolphins

Can I touch the dolphins?

No, you cannot touch the dolphins, nor swim with them for health and safety reasons. Dolphins are very fragile animals and sensitive to bacteria.

What time is the Dolphin Show?

There is no fixed time for the Dolphin Show as it depends on the day and the season. In general, the show takes place in the afternoon.

The time and the number of shows are determined in the morning of the day itself.  This information will be available at the ticket office when you buy your tickets on the day of your visit.

Is it possible to have a picnic in the park? Is there a covered area?

There are picnic areas in the park. They are situated at KM5 and in the pedestrian section. However, these picnic areas are not covered, so please make sure you have appropriate clothing.

Is it possible to visit the park in a camper?

Yes, it is possible to go on the Safari Trail in a camper. Please make sure you remove any bike racks before setting off on the visit. As previously specified, this trail takes you across vast plains where wild animals are free to roam around you.

Is the visitors' guide available in English?

Yes, the person at the reception desk will give you a guide in English on arrival.

Are the 4x4 Off-road Adventure, Bivouac, Mongolian Camp, Dolphin Show, Zookeeper for a Day and Safari Excellence options available in English?

No, these options are not available in English.

Are there audio guides available in English?

Coming to Planète Sauvage

Where is Planète Sauvage?

Planète Sauvage is 15 minutes from Nantes, heading for Pornic, and 20 minutes from the Atlantic Coast. 

Rennes, Cholet, La Roche sur Yon:  1 hour.

Angers, Vannes: 1 and a half hours.

Poitiers: 2 and a half hours.

Paris: 4 hours.

Can you come to the park by train? How far is it from the nearest railway station?

Take the TGV (high-speed train) to Nantes and from here you can take a taxi. Planète Sauvage is about 25 minutes from the station.

There is a local train which goes from Nantes to Sainte Pazanne or Saint Mars de Coutais (stations that are 5km from the park).
