Kirk’s dik-dik

Kirk's dik-dik

The dik-dik is a small African antelope. It can be easily recognised by its very distinctive muzzle which resembles a small trunk. Only the males have small, pointed horns. As a sedentary animal, once a pair has been established, dik-diks remain in the same area, the boundaries of which are set by the male with piles of droppings.

Did you know? Its name comes from the faint warning sounds its makes when in danger.
