The Ostrich

Ostriches are the biggest living birds. At 3m high and weighing 150kg (for males), they cannot fly. Their long wings serve to intimidate, for courtship rituals and to protect their young. They can run for great distances at 50km/h, peaking at 70km/h with strides of 9m.
