  • Though the Chapman’s zebra is considered as lower risk its relatives the Grévy Zebra and le Hartman Zebra are facing a high risk of extinction.

  • Characteristics: zebras are African herbivores and belong to the horse family. Each individual has different stiped markings, allowing zebras to distinguish each other in the herd. It weighs around 200 kg nd has a gestation period, like all members of the horse family, of one year.

  • Anecdote: the zebra’s main predator is the lion.When being attacked, the stripes of the fleeing herd from a flowing and changing pattern which makes it difficult for the lion to focus on his prey.
