The elephant

This pachyderm is the largest African mammal. The elephant needs large amounts of water for drinking, showering and bathing. They are much better swimmers than the hippopotamus. You can see 4 elephants at Planète Sauvage, they weigh up to as much as 4 tonnes. The elephants have exceptional living quarters at Planète Sauvage: Nearly 15 acres of meadow and a 1.2-acre lake for bathing.
